About Chippies

Chippies began with a recipe, but it became a philosophy.

It started after I began bringing baked goods into work. I made cakes, tarts, and whatever else I felt like baking that week. Eventually someone asked me to make chocolate chip cookies. What seemed like the simplest request turned into the one thing I became obsessed with.

I kept adjusting the recipe and bringing new batches into the office. Before long, my coworkers started asking if they could buy them. That was the first sign that these cookies might be worth sharing beyond the people I worked with.

After selling cookies for an event at my girlfriend's company, Charlie and I decided to build Chippies together.

As we looked around, we noticed that every brand seemed to be chasing the next idea: bigger flavors, more toppings, louder packaging. We found ourselves asking a different question.

When did the classics stop being enough?

We don't think a chocolate chip cookie needs to be reinvented. We think it deserves to be made exceptionally well.

That's why our focus is intentionally narrow. We make classic cookies, obsess over every ingredient, and package them in a milk carton because some pairings don't need improving.

There will always be another trend. We'd rather spend our time perfecting something that's already earned its place.
